From Gangtok we began our excursion at around 9.30am towards Pelling, which is in West Sikkim. Enroute to Pelling, we visited Ravangala in South Sikkim.
Gangtok to Ravangala is around 3 hours journey. Ravangala houses a beautiful and a giant Buddha statue. A temple like structure can also be seen below the Buddha Statue.
On reaching Ravangala, we witnessed the entire area covered with dense fog, within minutes, the fog got cleared and there appeared a giant statue of Buddha. It was serene watching the Buddha with the mountains being in the background.
We had to skip the breakfast in Gangtok, since we were running late. By 1 p.m.,we were literally hungry, so went on to grab the noodles available in the food joint nearby. The food joint had limited food items, i.e., momos, samosas and noodles. We settled for noodles and then embarked towards our destination, Pelling.
